I want your brains
My research lab is studying how entrepreneurs think. We do this using what are called ‘behavioral experiments’ or ‘behavioral decision making’ studies. Essentially, we present our study participants (‘subjects’) with some stimulus information and then ask them to make decisions, choose actions, or answer questions. While these kind of studies may seem abstract, they can actually be extremely revealing about how we think, our biases and preferences, and our skills and limitations in making real world choices.
What is in it for you? Well it can be fun to participate, but also we expect that the results will tell you something useful about how you think about entrepreneurial ideas and opportunities, how to pitch information to influence others, and how your choices influence your effectiveness. We will share all of our findings with you for each experiment.
To study entrepreneurship we really like to look at entrepreneurs, but our experiments aren’t reserved for only experienced entrepreneurs. If you are interested, no matter what your background or occupations, then click over to kite-lab.org and sign up – it will be fun! I will even give your brain back when I’m finished with it.
